Reading

At EES we use the Wonders curriculum for Reading and English. Each week we read 2-3 different stories that surround an essential question. For spelling we have a new list each week with 20 words that focus on a spelling pattern.
Writing
-Mrs. Giffin
We explore a variety of writing types throughout the year from narrative to expository as well as persuasive. We also use the Wonders curriculum to practice writing to two different sources. For example, after reading two different stories, students might compare or contrast the characters of both stories.
