Starting off 5th Grade...

This year will go even faster than the last! One of my goals as your 5th grade teacher is to prepare students to be successful in middle school.

How can I start preparing for middle school this year?

1. Start taking responsibility for your homework and assignments.

*Instead of waiting for your parents to empty your backpack or sign your reading log, take the initiative to get it out and ask them to sign it.

2. Get your homework done and turned in on time.

*While late work won't affect your grades at EES, in middle school it will really bring your grades down. So get in a habit of turning in assignments on time.

3. Keep your desk and binder organized and neat.

*Put your papers in the correct folder or spot in your binder. Don't just shove them in your desk because it is faster and easier. In middle school you will have just 3 minutes to get what you need and be in class. You are expected to have what you need in every class!

4. Work hard and give 100% effort in everything!

*It is important to always do your best. Your teachers notice-trust me!
